The History of
Windmill Alliance

The Windmill Alliance, Inc., began in January 1985 as a Day Activity Center for Special Needs Adults with three staff and nine participants. Over the years it has grown to include a number of special programs with a full-time staff of 30 employees to serve a variety of needs for people in Bayonne and Hudson County.

Trinity Parish in Bergen Point, an Episcopal congregation, is the sponsoring parent corporation for the Windmill Alliance, Inc. and was founded in 1859.

Today, the Windmill Alliance is one of the larger non-profit charities in the City of Bayonne and enjoys the support of community leaders and citizens. The Windmill Alliance has been recognized for its work by civic and government leaders, other non-profit organizations and funding organizations as well.
